Philly Gold Guidelines

The Entry Form

The Philly Gold Entry Form requires a statement of where and when the entry first appeared. Each entrant must sign this form. If a submission is found not to adhere to the aforementioned guidelines, the entry is disqualified from competition. By signing the form you assure the judges that your entry meets all the criteria.

Entries must:

  1. Be submitted in the correct categories (but may be submitted in multiple categories)
  2. Be correctly identified
  3. Be attached to a completed entry form
  4. Comply to prepping requirements, i.e. Plastic Sleeves and/or Black Poster Board (No Larger than 20x30) Accepted This Year (Plastic Sleeves Preferred)
  5. Not violate copywrite laws
  6. Satisfy all eligibility requirements

Please remember, entries will not be returned, therefore you are encouraged not to send original work. Return two copies of entry form with each entry. Photocopies are acceptable. Tape (do not glue or spray mount) top of both forms to back of your work or its envelope. Please type or print clearly. Fill in all information requested or mark "Not Applicable." Philly Gold will not be responsible for work not received by the Awards coordinators.

Deadlines:

Entries for Philly Gold 2006 must received by APRIL 28, 2006 with all completed information included on entry form. The entries must be paid by check or cash. Problem or questions; please call 610.896.9454.

 

Entry Preparation

Plastic Sleeves and/or Black Poster Board (No Larger than 20x30) Accepted This Year (Plastic Sleeves Preferred)

Print, Graphic Design & Out of Home
Print material should be in plastic sleeve. Each entry should be submitted in a separate envelope with the two (2) copies of the Entry Form firmly taped (not glued) to the back of the piece. Dimensional or oversized pieces (packaging, billboards, etc.) may be photographed, free standing or digitally printed. A Print Campaign consists of more than one print ad.

Television
DVDs or CDs are accepted for video entries (Beta SP Preferred, 3/4" cassettes accepted - 1/2" VHS are accepted but not preferred). Be sure to indicate the title of the spot on the entry form to both the cassette and the outside box. A TV Campaign consists of two or more spots on the above formats. Be sure to list the individual spots in the order in which they appear and tape a copy of the Entry Form to both the cassette and the outside box.

Radio
A Radio Campaign consists of more than one spot on a cassette or CD. Please label both the cassette or CD and the outside case. List each spot in the order in which it appears.

Public Service
This category applies to advertising produced for an accredited non-profit organization, a public agency, or advertising of a public service nature produced by a profit-making company. To qualify as a Public Service entry, work should not attempt to sell a product or service or promote or brand a corporate image.

Photography and Illustration
Entries must be submitted in the printed form in which they appeared, in see through plastic sleeve or mounted on a presentation/poster board no larger than 20"x30" with a 1" border. If your submission creates a mounting problem just give us a call and we'll workout a solution.

Interactive (New Media)
For on-line entries, supply the exact URL address/title in the Title field of the Entry Form; no disk is needed if the Web site is accessible via the Internet. For other formats, please tape completed Entry Form to the disk case and affix a small label to the disk itself with Company Name, Title and Category Number. If online entry is not available at URL please supply on CD or Entries can be submitted in the following formats, Mac or IBM compatible:

  • On-line with exact URL address (preferred format)
  • CD-ROM 
  • 3-1/4" floppy diskette
  • Any other self-contained interactive media format. When submitting website entries or email you can give us the address it resides so our judges can visit your entry online.

Important Note
Philly Gold and ADV, in conjunction with the judges, reserve the right to re-categorize what is incorrectly entered work or to disqualify improperly prepared entries. In the event of disqualification, entry fees will be returned. The judges may choose not to award any honors in a given category. This may result in missing categories at the Awards Show.
